Everything Fits Perfectly NowFeb 05, 2010 We ordered the Hand's Free Baby Gate, by First Years, however it was just a little too narrow for our door. With this extension it fits and works perfectly. It also matches the gate exactly, so you can't even tell we are using an extension! Bottom line: It does it's job, and it works well.
Works great...Feb 01, 2010 If you already have a first years hands free gate, this extension works great to block off those extra wide doorways. We actually use the gate for our dogs and it works perfectly. We've had the gate for almost two years. We have an extension on both sides (one came with the gate) and we've had no problems.
baby gate extensionOct 26, 2009 We already have four of the gates, but did not have an extension to close off the foyer by the front door (we have our third Schipperke now and she is deaf; we didn't want her to get out the front door). The extension has worked just great. Thank you.
Extension works great!Aug 27, 2009 The extension to the first years gate is very sturdy and securely on the gate. I have purchased two extensions for my gate for the bottom of the stairs and it is securely fastened, even when a 3 years old is trying to wiggle it with all their might (that is saying a lot!). The only downside to these extensions is that it isn't long enough. I had to purchase two extensions for it to fit the rails of the stairs, but overeall, I'm pretty content with it.
Right FitAug 24, 2009 Worked nicely with the Hands Free Gate. My wife and I are pleased with the Hands Free Gate. It is secure, easy to open for us but not for our 1 year old kid. No holes in the wall. Easy to assemble and steady as rock after mounting. We recommend it.
