Very unsafe item, returned after one use.Jul 04, 2010 I bought this in hopes of ditching the baby bathtub and letting my 4 month old take a bath at the same time as her two year old brother. BUT, after a 15 minute bath, she almost fell in 4 times. I ignored the reviews about this not being for squirmy babies because mine isn't squirmy, so I thought it might work. NOPE! The fabric in the seat part is pulled so tight that it actually humps up where her but should be. So instead of sitting comfortably , her little butt was forced to either side, which then made her slump to the side and almost fall in. If there was any way to loosen the fabric so if there was an indentation for her butt to sit, then it might be worth it. I used it once and returned it. Thank goodness for amazon's great return policy.
This is exactly what I was looking for! Wonderful!Jun 18, 2010 I love this! I was looking for something that would work well in our kitchen sink to start out and then transfer to the tub later. This is my 3rd and final child and my probably 5th or 6th infant tub that I've purchased.
The base of this fits perfectly in our sink and the mesh fits tight enough across the frame that baby is well supported. I also love the fact that this folds flat for storage- which I did not know when I purchased this so a bonus!
This is also large enough that baby will fit on it for a while, which is great. The head rest is held on with velcro which is nice because you can remove it to allow it to dry.
My only issue (and not a big enough issue for me to give this any less than 5 stars) is that it took a minute to get it to fold back up the first time because you have to kind of push the bars in... but once I figured it out and got coordinated enough to push with both hands at the same time- not a problem.
I would absolutely recommend this to others.
Overall good buyApr 09, 2010 Bought this item when my son was 1 month old. He is now 4 1/2months and I still use it. Very durable, small, and handy! I have a rather "healthy" 4 month old so sometimes the sink can be challenging when he starts kicking...but it supports his weight. Would not recommend foruse after your baby can sit up.
Good for younger babiesFeb 12, 2010 This seat worked great until out little one graduated to a bath ring around 7 months of age. Past that age and I think a baby might be a little too squirmy for it. However, this is probably the case for any lay down seat because any baby is too curious about the water by then to sit still. I loved the fact that we could fold it up and put it away so that it wasn't an eye sore for company in between uses.
Good valueFeb 12, 2010 This bath seat was comfy for my baby. It conveniently stored in my towel cabinet in between baths and dried fast. I would recommend this to someone who is looking for an alternative to the traditional bulky tub.
