Very good product.Mar 05, 2010 I used it through out my nursing period for my second child. The best part is I dont have to depend on battery or electricity while using this and also the sound it makes is much lower than the battery operated one or the electric one.
I loved it. Only that I needed to replace it atleast 3times and the cost was a killer.
Great travel pump!Feb 25, 2010 My husband bought this pump for me so I could sustain my milk while we were traveling. I was afraid I would dry up while being away from our baby. This pump is awesome! Great for traveling: relatively small, easy to put together and take apart, easy to clean and easy to use.
I made the mistake the first couple of times of pumping constantly which was a bit taxing on my hand and wrist. Then I figured out you don't have to do all that and that once your milk comes in, you can just have one continuous pump which extracts quite a bit of milk before you have to make the pumping motion again (if you're not sure what I mean, just read the directions and you'll get it.) It will save your hand and wrist a lot of trouble!
I strongly recommend this for moms that aren't able to use an electric pump. I have both but when I'm on the go, this pump is perfect.

Works well, but probably cannot replace the electric pump..Feb 13, 2010 I have a Medela Pump in Style and also used the hospital grade Medela Symphony. I read reviews on the Medela manual pump and many people commented that it replaced their electric pumps but I disagree. The manual pump worked well, but it is tiring on the hands. It pumped decent amount milk.
The kit came with all the parts shown in the picture plus a nipple and bottle cap. I didn't like the nipple; it was too soft and the milk flow was too fast for my 2 week old. My two week old actually choked on too much milk. I use Avent nipples and I like how the rubber is stiffer; it's conducive to strengthening jaw muscles.
Overall, I think the Medela manual pump is a good complement to a faster electric pump. It's good when you're outside.

SUCKS-- or doesn't suck-- depends on how you look at it!Jan 26, 2010 Bought this despite the mixed reviews because I wanted something that was quiet (when I travel for work events, I have to pump in the bathroom half the time and get very self conscious about the noise) and something easy to travel with. Well, I tried using it yesterday and it was HORRIBLE. I could have gotten more milk by hand expressing so I was out of town all day with no pump and no baby. By the end of the night when I got home, I was in so much pain. I will take the noisy efficiency of my Medela Freestyle over the Harmony any day.

very painful pumpJan 25, 2010 this pump is very painful to use.
It is NOT comfortable, it does not help to get
more milk than manually.
