An excellent baby toy; troubleshooting tipNov 11, 2009 I bought this toy for a grandchild, and after 2 1/2 years, it is still one of her favorites. It plays a very nice original song, and the little puffy creatures above the tabs are easy to grasp. The tabs which set off the creatures' sounds are difficult for a baby to press and play, but as a toddler, our granddaughter was able to make them play their sounds. The batteries (2 AA) have never needed changing.
Note on troubleshooting. I ordered four of these for shower gifts, and two of them had playing glitches. I was about to return them, but found that a switch in back (where you can convert the player for MP3) was not quite set for ordinary play. When I pushed it into place, the units played just fine.
I recommend this toy and plan to continue giving it to our young friends. It is great to be able to order several of them at one time from Amazon.

Best Baby Mirror!May 24, 2009 I bought this mirror for my, now four month old, daughter right before she was born; on the recommendation of my sister who had purchaced one, for her then 4 month old. My daughter and her son both LOVE this mirror, it attaches to the crib well, or stands up quite sturdily on its own. Its been great for tummy time, she loves to push the "Tails" and listen to the animals "Talk," and loves to look at herself in the mirror. We have also enjoyed the MP3 function of this mirror. It keeps the ipod out of the baby's reach, but allows us to listen to baby music at play time, or before bed
I love it !!!Jan 11, 2009 My 6 months old baby loves it and enjoys the sounds and the mirror itself.
My 2 years old also enjoys the sounds.
really nice and a great value for price.
Baby loves this thingJan 01, 2009 I was always a wooden-toy type of mommy, but I got this mirror because it seemed better than a lot of the other mirrors.
The baby LOVES this thing.
The quality of the music and sounds is amazing.
I will continue to buy products like this.

Good ideas, poor execution.Nov 19, 2008 Mirrors are great for babies and recommended as a good source of entertainment during the early stages of development. I like this mirror because of the bright colors, different textures, soft frame, ability to make sounds and overall "baby friendly" looks. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. Like other reviewers, I was disappointed with the lack of a volume control as it is too loud. The large, textured pads to activate the animal sounds are great, but the actual contact point to make the noise is so small even I have a hard time doing it sometimes. My daughter was very attracted to the puffy animal faces along the edge of the mirror. It would have made sense to have the noise activation buttons inside these rather than having the tabs at all. I don't think my daughter ever purposefully was able to make the noises happen (by accident, yes). I didn't find out that the Leapfrog character in the middle even had a button in it except by accident. It plays a nice song with baby noises in three segments, but again, the button isn't indicated by anything visible. Agreeing with the other reviewers again with regard to the angle of the mirror. The velcro isn't long enough to get a good angle for a baby that can't sit up (or hold their head up) yet. It is floppy and awkward for a baby to hold on its lap as well.
Again, I think the ideas are there...they just need to be designed a little better in version 2.0
