poor long term performanceAug 08, 2010 As people before me have stated, this device, SV1011, is not worth the price. My husband purchased this product for me in November, 2008. Just this week, it stopped working. It was not dropped or mishandled in any way. After I reset the device, three photos would rotate through and then a blank screen. I called Kodak customer service and other than asking me to "reset" had no other help for me. Since the frame was purchased more than one year ago (19 months) there was nothing they could do except to charge $125 plus $10.95 shipping & handling or offer 15% off of a new one. This product was $147 new, plus the shipping. I would expect that an electronic device in this price range would last longer than this.
I am so disappointed in this Kodak product and what they could offer me. I think a replacement unit at no cost would be appropriate, in light of the negative experiences similar to mine as reported above. Kodak no more for me.
Short Life SpanMay 23, 2010 It was good while it lasted. It lasted barely two years. Kodak offered a 15% upgrade and wouldn't even quote a repair fee because they admitted it wouldn't make sense for me to have it evaluated rather than purchase a new product. Quite a business model there, Kodak.

stopped working after 18 monthsApr 17, 2010 I was relatively happy with this product until after approximately 18 months it stopped working. I turned it off and unplugged it for a few weeks when we were out of town and when I went to plug it back in and turn it back on it would briefly flash the Kodak banner logo and then went blank. I tried re-setting the frame and every other suggestion I could find online. I am not willing to pay Kodak $125 for repair when I can almost buy a new frame for that. I really feel that a product like this in this price range should last longer than 18 months. I will definitely be looking at a different brand for a replacement.
Fine until it failedFeb 09, 2010 I was happy with this product until it suddenly failed after 18 months of use. It was not dropped or mistreated in any way. One day it was working fine, then next day it just flashes the Kodak logo when turned on, then the display goes blank. Repairing through Kodak will cost $125 plus $10.95 S&H, which is absurd. I expect an electronic product to last more than a year and a half, so no more Kodak products for me.
Very poor reliability for the priceJan 25, 2010 The appearance of the product is very acceptable, but viewing is restricted to straight angles. The color was good and the picture quality was excellent, in the beginning. I mounted mine on the wall and it was going all the time. It began to have glitches after a couple of months sticking on one picture, then the color started to change to a red hue. Now it won't run at all. When I turn it on the Kodak banner comes on briefly, then the screen goes black. Not very good reliability for a $200 item. If I had to make the purchase again, it wouldn't be this one!!
