Excellent gate system!Jan 10, 2010 My son gets into everything and anything. This gate system is excellent. It allows you to have baby in hand and open/close the gate. It automatically closes so if you have forgetful people in your house you don't have to keep checking. These stand the test of time and lots of use. Totally worth it.
Awesome!Dec 10, 2009 I wish other children's safety gates were designed as easy to install and versatile as these. I love the fact that you can position the wall attachments so you can avoid base boards, for example. Very sturdy and look great. The only drawback is that I can't use these over my stairs because they don't have an adjustable width (outside of the fixed extension widths).
Super gate systemNov 02, 2009 Can't say enough good things about it! Best gate system on the market by a landslide!

KidCo Configurgate Repair Gouges ConsumerOct 26, 2009 I purchased a ConfigurGate that is now outside of warranty. They no longer sell replacement parts for a poorly designed plastic part that supports the gate near the hinge point. Instead, they offered to sell me a new door for almost $100 (Price gouging) whereas the retail price on a whole new gate is not much more. It is probably about a 50 cent part that is broken. Based on poor design and lack of parts support, I would not buy another product from KidCo.

DANGEROUS FOR CHILDRENAug 25, 2009 The first gate we had broke off at the bottom vertical rail. Our daughter opened the gate, her foot pushed against the rail and it broke off the weld cutting her foot. Since then we have been through 2 more replacements, and one individual rail on each gate has broken off, again at the weld, but this time at the top. If the rail had broken off the top and a child had been running, it could have impaled them because WHEN THESE RAILS BREAK OFF THEY ARE EXTREMELY SHARP.
When we called customer service, the woman working there asked us " what are you running there, a day care?"
These rails on these gates are ONLY WELDED ON ONE SIDE, and the gate has to be lifted to open. This lifting seems to create a stress on the welds, and since it is only welded on one side they eventually break with usage.
We are including images of all three gates so that people can see this, because it is my opinion that this could be a very dangerous situation for a child that runs and falls into a gate.
