 Great gate for the priceSep 16, 2009
I was a bit skeptical on purchasing this type of gate. But after some research I thought, I might as well just get it instead of prolonging the process. (bought 2 yrs ago)
I am very amazed and pleased at how easy it was to assemble and how well it works! Fits very tight and secure in a wide space (with uneven walls). We have not, thankfully enough, had the privilege of watching our lil one, who really loves to climb as well, climb over it and break an arm. My lil one knows not to do that on or around this gate. But I do have to say, if you have really tall children, they are the ones who are clumsy and fall on the gate which therefore makes the gate come loose, which makes for some great family laughs. Mind you the really tall (clumsy child) is 13! It has worked well in our house these past 2 years, I highly recommend it! I believe it would work well for any family, even ones with a puppy, hopefully yours.
Just don't have it placed in a high traffic area of the house.

I bought this gate to go between 2 walls below our staircase and it's so easy to use. It tightens up easily and requires no mounting. Highly recommended!!

Really like this gate. Bought it after reading other good reviews. I orginially purchased it because of how far it extends and its low cost. I wanted to put it in the fireplace/mantel opening to keep my baby out of the fireplace, BUT she figured out how to push the sliding mirror closet doors off the tracks in her bedroom, so now the gate is "stuck" in the frame in front of the sliding doors. It keeps her out of the closet and from pushing the doors off and hurting herself AND I can still get in her closet. I am considering buying another one. It was easy to assemble and install. I did use a pair of pliers to tighten the "knobs" a bit as it was difficult for me to do it by hand and it was hard to reach and turn the knob closest to the floor just with my fingers. Definitely recommend this gate. I also tried it in our hall where the walls are uneven and it worked great there too!

This gate is perfect. It fits any space even if it has large baseboards. This is the second one I have purchased and will buy one more this week. I have puppies and need to keep them contained. I don't like crates. I can step over this gate with no problem. It is easy to install and travels very well. No damage to the door.

This gate has been a life saver with our new puppy. It is sturdy even under his chewing and jumping and has stayed put. I would highly recommend this product!
