Great for Twins!Aug 24, 2010 We purchased the Retro Orange Dadgear Backpack after reading that a backpack diaperbag works best when trying to transport twins since it leaves your hands and arms free. We are very pleased with the size of this backpack compared to others we saw in stores. This is a full size backpack. It does not look like it needs to be carried by a child. My husband is happy with the colors and that it does not look like a traditional diaperbag. He is 6ft tall and stocky; the shoulder straps fit him well and can be adjusted for my average female frame as well. My favorite features so far are the diaper hammock and the wipes pocket. The construction of the pack is solid. There are no frayed ends or loose stitches. The only problem so far is that when the main area is opened fully (and laid flat) it is a little bit difficult to get the zipper started again. You just have to pinch the sides closer together and it works just fine. We have only had the twins home a few weeks but we are already seeing the benefits of having a handsfree diaperbag.
try something elseAug 22, 2010 I had a Baby Innovations backpack bag that had lots of pockets, but with a toddler and another one on the way I needed something bigger. Looked at all the reviews for this bag and the Baby Sherpa. Despite no insulation, I ordered the DadGear. I was very disappointed. I knew going in there was no insulation, but there weren't enough compartments to store things, the inside is just one big hole, and the changing pad could only be for a little baby it is so small. I ended up ordering the Baby Sherpa and comparing them side by side. I returned the DadGear and KEPT the Sherpa.
Love it!Jul 30, 2010 I absolutely LOVE this diaper bag. I love having the diaper hammick so I'm not digging at the bottom of the diaper bag to find my diapers. I also know at all times just how many diapers I have. I love having the wipes built in and easy accessable. I love the keys holder so that if I put my keys in the bag, I don't have to dig to the bottom to find them. Most people think it is just a bag that I have and not my diaper bag. I love being able to just throw it over my shoulder and not worry about the straps falling down. My husband loves it too. He doesn't feel near as "girly" carrying this bag. Nice quality and the color is great. I wish I would have bought this for my first diaper bag, but I guess until you start using a diaper bag you don't know what you need and would like about one.
Don't Waste Your $Jul 07, 2010 I purchased this product to travel to Spain with my 1 year old. The interior contraction is inferior and cheap. The diaper changing "pad" is a piece of nylon. I had to use the changing pad from my JJ Cole bag.
The main compartment was not big enough to fit my ergo when all the other pockets were occupied.
I did like the separate compartments for drinks, but quickly learned it was not water proof.
The diaper wipe compartment on the outside was handy, but rarely will you find a diaper changing area that supports your child & this big bulky bag ( if it is full), so you still have to remove wipes prior to a change.
The biggest problem with the bag is that the snack compartment tore on the second day of use.
THANK GOODNESS TO [...] for allowing me to return the product after the 60 days. (we purchased early to make sure we were set for trip)
They said they would only exchange product if they found manufacturing defect.
So, a big thumbs down for a really expensive bag.
Here is the substitute I purchased

Tons of pockets, more room & organization...
It even has the snack pocket
Great OrganizingFeb 17, 2010 Very pleased with this backpack diaper bag. I held off buying it because of the price. Now I'm glad we have it because it's SO nice to have a place to put everything. You can actually stay organized and not have to dig down to the bottom. Zippers open up the pockets completely so they fold flat down. You can see what's inside with no problem. This thing is pretty big and holds a lot. Very high quality and I think worth the money. It will hold up for more than one kid or I'm sure you could use it for a gym bag or something else when a diaper bag is no longer needed.
