5We love this car seat!Jul 16, 2010
This is a great car seat! We bought it because it was listed on a website to fit our minivan (we previously had problems with our other car seat fitting behind the passenger seat in our van rear-facing. It is much nicer than the Alpha Omega and Gracos we own. We purchased it because one of the colors was on clearance, which made it a great value and we're hooked. I wish we could afford to replace all of our carseats with this one (we have 4, 2 in each vehicle). It is easy to install and my son loves it. Britax thought of a lot of small things that make using this car seat much easier.

3If you want a rear-facing seat for a long time go with the MarathonJun 29, 2010
I am a HUGE fan of Britax. I have had my 16 month old daughter in a Marathon since she was 10 months. I am very passionate about rear-facing to the max weight. I ordered the roundabout for a trip because I thought it would be a little easier to lug around the airport than my daughters Marathon. Also we are pregnant and I figured we could use this for baby #2. When I got the seat I instantly loved it. The Onyx color looks nice..the fabric feels nice and would clean up easily. Here's the problem...my daughter is 16 months now and weighs only 22 pounds. This carseat sits rear-facing up to 35 pounds. She is only 25% for her height and she is at the max height for rear-facing in this seat. They can only sit rear-facing when there is 1 inch or more from the top of the seat to the top of their head. Sure, she can use it now, but obviously she would never make it to 35 pounds rear-facing. So basically this is a great seat, however, if you are concerned about having your child rear-facing as long as possible (which you should..type in rear-facing vs. forward facing on youtube and see the crash test results...if that doesnt convince you I dont know what will) this is not the seat for you. Go with the Marathon. My daughter has at least 4-5 inches left in her Marathon for rear-facing. Plus the marathon goes to 65 pounds forward-facing where the roundabout goes to 40. The roundabout is great for smaller cars so you have to do what you have to do. Just thought maybe this would help someone. I wish I had known this before. I returned the Roundabout to Amazon (which they are awesome with returns). I will lug her marathon on the trip and be ordering another marathon for baby #2.

Good luck with your carseat choice. Whatever you get just make sure its installed properly. Take the time to take it to a certified station where they can check your carseat installation. Also the chest clip goes at the armpits..not lower. I swear..I have yet to see any of my friends put their kids in the seat right. Its not worth it to not do it right.

4Nice convertible.Jun 22, 2010
Britax is great. The velcro on the straps is a super nice feature that I didn't realize I was missing in our other convertible. We have this rear facing, and it works much better than the other one at this also. No cup holders, which I would like.

5Great Car SeatJun 17, 2010
This car seat has been wonderful. We have only had the seat for a few months but the true test was a 20 hr drive to Florida and a 20 hr drive home. We drove straight through both ways and my daughter was super comfortable and HAPPY. She did great going both ways and the level of recline was perfect for her to get good sleep in the seat. We plan to use this with baby number two as well who will be joining us in the next 6 months.

5Very satisfiedJun 07, 2010
This product is very well reviewed, and it met all my expectations. One of the highlights is that WHEN (not if) a child falls asleep in this their head doesn't slump foreward. It is extremely easy to install and tightens best when putting your adult weight into it with a knee in the seat. I wish it came w/ a cup holder, but there are probably suitable aftermarket add-ons that would work just fine.
