Third Trimester Must HaveSep 01, 2010 I ordered this at the beginning of my 2nd trimester--before I really even needed it. My tummy was still relatively small and not itchy at all. So, at first, I wasn't into it--it seemed very thick and sticky. I began to look around for other products and had some luck with Burt Bees's Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil--sometimes I'd even use Palmer's pure cocoa butter stick. However.... when my stomach began to grow and itch at the end of the 2nd trimester-3rd trimester this was the ONLY product that worked. It alleviated the itchiness and kept my skin supple for much much much longer than anything else I tried. The only thing that I tried that really made my skin feel like it had a chance against warding off stretchmarks. Yes, it can be a bit sticky in the way vaseline could make your skin sticky when first applied (which, by the way, this product has no petroleum and is paraben free) it is WELL worth it and the initial "stickiness" really only lasts for a short bit of time and then your skin feels so so much better. The other thing I should comment on is the fragrance..it has a light natural honey/waxy/flower smell. I really can't describe it. I don't love it--but it's completely bearable and not unpleasant. Bottom line: If you order it and don't like it at first--break it out at the 3rd trimester--you may change your mind!! I really could not have lived without it--it's perfect!
Liked this product in the beginning...Aug 23, 2010 I liked this product for the first 10 days or so. After that it was no longer smooth even though I always put it on clean skin. Now when I first put it on is is grainy. After it is absorbed it is fine but the applying process is less than desireable.
eh...Aug 18, 2010 sure didn't prevent stretch marks for me! very oily, waste of time putting it on everyday and money for sure, sucks :(
so far so goodAug 13, 2010 I bought this product a few month ago and just recently bought my third order of it. I am 7 month pregnant and have yet to see any stretch lines. Iknow its still early but I feel this product is good. It doesn't have a strong smells which is good.
AMAZING!!Aug 10, 2010 Alright ladies, I know its more expensive than the usual stretch mark cream you find at walmart, but who can put a price on beautiful skin after having a child?? this stuff saved my life, I have 7 stretch marks from before I started using the belly butter and havent gotten one since, and Im now 36 weeks!!! I love it most of all because its not greasy and wont ruin your clothes, it has a very light smell of honey which wouldnt bother any pregnant woman, and the best thing of all is it lasts all day! you can put it on in the morning and still feel it on your skin when you are getting ready for bed! That is probably why it works so well! Ive used the palmers, and that stuff is like rubbing elmers glue on you and then your stomach is dried out an hour later, with this product you will never have this problem. I wish I would have known about it before I started growing! I actually got samples of the product when I oredered pregnancy shirts from [...].... By the way they have awesome shirts that are worth the money! Light, long, and comfy! Hope this helps all you other pregnant woman! Buy this product! You wont regret it...
