1Well made, but very poor quality connection.Jul 08, 2010
We've use this monitor for about 4 months. Receiver was just on the other side of the wall from transmitter (2 feet away). The sound quality is very bad. The static sound is all we hear no matter how low or high the volume is. Also the video is always in and out, never constantly available, always squigly lines. Very disapointed. Will have to spend another $$$$ for another monitor.

1Horrible, but at least it didn't work, quickly!Apr 12, 2010
Although we had a MobiCam video monitor, we wanted two things it didn't offer:

1. we wanted a second camera since we were having a second child.

2. we wanted a rechargeable monitor. The Mobi receivers can use batteries, but it won't charge rechargeable batteries with the AC adapter. You have to unscrew the case, remove the batteries, recharge and reinstall. Since the receivers will only last an hour or so with batteries, you are basically limited to only using the receiver plugged into the wall.

The Bebe system sounded appealing. It comes with two cameras and the receiver can plug in to charge included rechargeable batteries.

Although it had two features we really wanted, it simply was unusable. Image quality was horrible. It made a clicking sound randomly throughout the night. Our house is a perfectly average 1960's two-story. Maybe this would work in a 2BR apartment or a small ranch style, but if you actually can benefit from using a wireless monitor, I can't think of any reason you would want this model.

The best thing I can say is that at least it didn't work right out of the box, so that we could take it back without too any problems.

1On the right path... but not there yet.Feb 23, 2010
I read all of the poor reviews and some of the complaints were just plain useless. The "clicking" noise as it intervals between cameras isn't intolerable, you don't even notice it after a minute. The button on the side that turns the unit on/off is a scroll wheel and I can't see how anyone with a fully functional hand and half a functioning brain couldn't easily operate it.

The image from both cameras was clear enough for me to see 2 month old twins breathing. Each camera has two BRIGHT green LED lights which was a little annoying but a simple sticker or band-aid covered them right up.

The sound on camera A was great, it was sensitive enough to pick up the clock ticking on the wall. Camera B was another story. I experienced the same static as other people and it was so loud that there was really no way to sleep with Camera B going. I had to settle for just using Camera A and if twin B made noise, I would put the volume all the way down then activate Camera B.

I also started to experience problems with the image after about 2 weeks. I noticed that the receiver was picking up more interference from somewhere and sometimes my own body movements caused interference. Twice I turned on the receiver to find no image even though the cameras were both on. I had to turn everything off and back on for the image to appear on the receiver.

I purchased this thru Target and took it right back for a full refund with no problems.

I love that the receiver used rechargable batteries and you could just unplug it and go.

If they could fix the static/interference issues and improve the quality a bit, they would have a very good product.

2Great Video Quality but Lacks in ExecutionJan 24, 2010
I have a two year old and a newborn and wanted to use this so I could keep an ear (and an eye) on both during the night. The video quality on this is excellent, even at night. It was very smooth and had good detail. However, the 8-second scan feature, essential for monitoring both kids at night, was really annoying. When the monitor switched between channels there was a loud static crunch sound, like on a walkie-talkie. It was better if the sound was on the lowest settings but then I couldn't hear what was going on in the two rooms. The static crunch every 8 seconds was really disruptive when I was trying to sleep. Also, after using the monitor the first week, I noticed that it would shut off randomly. I use AC power and battery backup, so I'm confident power failures weren't the cause. The bottons were all still in the on position but the video and sound wouldn't be working. I had to turn the reciever unit on and off a few times before it would resume operation. Needless to say, I've returned it and am using one from Summer that doesn't make noise when it flips between the cameras.

2Not the best out thereAug 17, 2009
I bought this camera so I could have it flip between two cameras, one in each of my children's bedroom. That doesn't work because while it will flip there is click that is loud enough to disturb you when you are trying to sleep at night (and sometimes even as you are trying to relax before bedtime.) Because of where the cameras are positioned in the rooms I have to adjust the brightness on the monitor when I switch the cameras. The biggest issues I have with the camera is based on the design. The button to switch between cameras is nice and big on the front but the switch to turn on the screen is a tiny switch on the side that I find hard to flip. I had to tape over the plug for the A/V because the power plug fits into it and one night I plugged the power into the A/V plug and the battery died on me in the middle of the night without my being any wiser until I woke up on my own. On the pro side I have not really had many problems with interference.

Personally I like the Summer Infant video monitor. It is a bit big and clunky but the battery is great and you can use a second monitor with it but it does not automatically flip between the two.
