5Hearing lossJun 24, 2010
Dear Amazon:

Two reviewers have indicated some hearing impairment in their newborns after using BabyPlus during pregnancy. Sadly, 3 babies per thousand in the US are born with permanent hearing loss, among the most common birth disorders. Inheritance may be involved, but in these cases the parents themselves usually have full hearing. BabyPlus incorporates a technical preventive limiting its sounds to well below those of the mother's own internal heartbeat, far less than much of the noise which surrounds us all, and below the volume from such practices as singing or playing music during pregnancy. BabyPlus has been used and promoted by parents for more than 20 years in over sixty countries, and is neither a diagnostic nor therapeutic device. The only factual conclusion is that such unfortunate occurrences cannot be due to the simple and safe use of BabyPlus.

5My baby is sleeping thru the night at 10 weeksJun 05, 2010
I think this gadget is genius. My baby got a 9 and 10 on her apgar score....the nurses were in complete shock. Its sometimes common for a baby to get a 10 on the first test but almost NEVER does a baby get a 10 during the 2 test! Now she's sleeping 9 hours at 10 weeks. I couldn't recommend this more for mother's to be!!

5Skeptical at first, but now we are believers!Mar 21, 2010
My wife and I purchased the Baby Plus after I read about it in a book and online. We were skeptical at first, but figured it couldn't hurt. My wife and I are both musicians and we were originally hoping that the Baby Plus would help with our baby's interest in music. Our baby boy was born a week ago and we are amazed at some of the things we are seeing. Our baby was extremely alert upon birth (eyes wide open) and was able to move and lift his head. As we were in the recovery room, he would turn his head to look towards each of our voices. He seems to be able to self-soothe, and only cries when he is either hungry or has a dirty diaper. Amazingly, this includes 3 days ago when he got circumsized and had his frenulum snipped (to help with his breast feeding latching due to being tongue tied). He did not cry for either procedure (which amazed the doctors), although he didn't like being naked for the circumcision. He is also able to use his hands to keep his binky in his mouth, even 2 days after birth. Throughout the day he seems to be extremely relaxed and is very content to just look around at his surroundings and listen to sounds without becoming upset. He took to breast feeding immediately. Also, he is a GREAT sleeper. On average he sleeps 3-4 hours straight, and up to 6 hours as long as he doesn't go potty. My brother is extremely frustrated because his baby keeps him up throughout the night and is fussy, and he was hoping that I would share the same misery. Instead, I am able to get ample sleep and so far our new baby life has been very pleasant. We're hoping this continues and that our baby boy starts showing some of the later in life developments that are advertised with the Baby Plus. This device is DEFINITELY worth investing in and I highly recommend it to anyone who is even SLIGHTLY interested. You'll be happy that you did and will be telling your friends all about it like we are currently doing.

5We bought two of them!Jan 14, 2010
My wife and I were absolutely amazed with this product. Our baby girl came out VERY aware and active, so much so that the doctors and nurses present were amazed. She scored a full score on her APGAR, and now at 13 months she amazes us every day. She has an excellent sense of rhythm, has been RUNNING since 9 months, had no problems breast feeding or switching to solid foods, she has an active vocabulary (recognizes ~35 words, clearly says ~15 words), and is already working on potty training.

We STRONGLY recommend baby plus to our friends and family, and despite the expense (and the fact that our first baby plus broke due to cheap batteries), we purchased a second baby plus for our boy who we are expecting in March.

1Not worth the money, from a mom that needs SLEEPDec 30, 2009
I was told by a friend that I had to use this system, so I spent the money, and wore it faithfully from about week 17. My baby is now 4 months old and is a TERRIBLE sleeper. He doesn't go more than a couple hours at night and his naps are about 30 minutes tops. He needs constant entertainment or he gets fussy. Like someone else reviewed we tried playing it for him one night hoping it would relax him and it did the opposite. I wish I hadn't spent the money.
